Fresh from making his fortune in the Americas and with a mind full of ideas and ambitious projects, Agustí Vilaret founded the Mont-Ferrant winery in 1865. Thus, he bought Mas Ferrant in the town of Blanes (Girona) and with the aim of becoming a champagne maker he planted vineyards, built a new winery and acquired the necessary tools to make the first Mont-Ferrant Cava. 5. L’Americano of Blanes was his nickname, everybody in town knew him by this
name.
Mont Ferrant is the oldest cava producer in Spain. Over 150 years dedicated to the elaboration of quality sparkling wines, strictly adhering to traditional methods, and resulting in wines of breath-taking personality, marked by strong acidity, an exceptional capability for laying down, and a character that is hard to forget.
This organic Cava shows persistent bubbles and good mousse. In nose full, fruity and intensely flavored. In the taste shows all the balance, aromatic and tasteful, given by the varieties and
the ageing.
